What a great class! We learned so much! We learned how to sit, lay down, walk on a leash, come when called, and so many other things! Thanks Leslie!

Great Training Program
Leslie is a great trainer! My pup Ransom ( Pitty Mix) is very energtic and hyper. Over the last seven weeks she was able to teach me ways to control his behavior. I am pround to say he has come a very long way from the first day of class. Leslie's way of training made him think and gave him a job to do to make him focus more. Thanks Leslie for all your help!!!

We took our 4 month puppy to Level 1 training. I fully support the training method as I do not believe in choker or prong style collars to train dogs. The class was very good for level one learning and Leslie is always willing to help if you are having any issues. She also offers hand-outs and solutions to any specific items you may be experiencing. I also recommend the puppy socialization classes as well.

This is a testimonial from Look What I Can Do! Dog Training to the Veterinary Practices that are such an integral part of my business: Elk Neck Vet Clinic, North East MD, Oxford Animal Hospital, Oxford PA, and Animal Hospital of Havre de Grace. The staff and Vets at all locations have been consistently supportive to my business from the beginning, and invested their faith in me when I was just starting out. They are all continuing to refer to me on a regular basis, so I would venture to say that I have not disappointed! More recently I have had referrals from the North East Animal Hospital , Dr. Mindy Carletti, and Applebrook Vet Clinic. Local Animal Rescues are also referring. Out of all the advertising I have done, developing trusting relationships with local vets has been my most valuable resource by far. Two local Pet Stores as well have been an invaluable source of referrals, Concord Pets on 213 South of Elkton and Pet Valu in the Big Elk Mall. The latter now offers a 20% discount to clients of Look What I Can Do!
Thanks to all of you, very greatly appreciated!

From a Good Manners Class an owner sent the following comments: " Yes, goals were met; I liked how laid back and fun the class was. There was nothing I disliked. The instructor was very easy to talk to and informative. I would recommend the class to others. No improvement needed. (my puppy) learning to greet others with respect and to come when called." ( most important thing learned) ![]()
Returned to me on 3/22, a survey from the owner of a 1 yo Labrador Retriever, and Graduate from Good Manners Level 1. Do you feel your goals were met? " Yes, I found this training to be very interesting and it fulfilled my goals. Just wish I had found this earlier to get him in the puppy socialization class.
What did you like least about the Good Manners Class? "I liked the way it was organized and structured. This includes the handouts that were provided, weekly lesson plans and the time for interacting with the other animals. I especially love the newsletters you send out, they are informative and help us learn more about our dogs." What did you like least about the Good Manners Program?" I Cannot think of one thing. Obviously you will continue to be successful with this program. Your love of the animals (and the humans) shows in your conduct and how the class is organized. I`m very impressed with the entire program." How could the instructor improve client interactions? " I cannot think of anything and am very impressed with how you set up your business (webpage, email etc.) Overall I`m very pleased and could not ask for anything more." What was the most important thing YOU learned? " The most important thing for me was learning about POSITIVE reinforcement. Most training I`ve read about seemed to involve ""man handling" " the dog. This training was exactly what you said. It was fun and I noticed an immediate difference in MY attitude and how the dog responded."
Newly received, a survey from Grads of Look What I Can Do! last Good Manners session at Pet Wellness Center. The puppy in question was gorgeous Great Dane, from Conowingo MD; he did wonderfully iin the Class. From the survey: Training goals met? Very much so. Liked best about the program? The instruction methods and the instructor! Liked least about the program? Nothing. Miss going. Looking forward to next classes. Improvements in client interactions? Interaction was great! Would you recommend? 10x yes. Improve the program? Grow- more classes. The most important thing YOU learned? How to deal with my puppy and how to not teach him bad things!
Indeed Look What I Can Do! is growing, adding classes and continuing to make fun and effictive learning for the dog AND the human and # 1 priority.
TESTAMONIAL FROM RAINWOOD GROUP CLASS
The owner of Holly, a Golden Retriever puppy, responded to my post class survey. You can see Holly doing her lessons and playing on the Hall of Fame Rainwood Album. Directly from the survey as follows: "I like the attention that Leslie gave to each and everyone of us. She was always available when I had any questions about Holly`s behavior, or how to deal with those behaviors. I loved Bridget and Billie-Bob. I did not see room for improvement. I would recommend Leslie to anyone with a dog. I have recommended her to friends and will continue to do so. I would not change anything about the program. Leslie taught me how to properly handle and train Holly. She encouraged me to keep learning and working with Holly. It is a lifetime committment to my dog. I do believe your training methods have made a big difference with Holly. Holly is going to need a lot of reinforcement, but I think we are moving in the right direction."
Being able to help is what makes me love my job so much!
I was delighted to make friends with a gregarious British Bulldog puppy, also pictured on the Hall of Fame. The doting owners wanted private lessons, so that is what we did. Their comments: : liked the flexiblity and training in our home. No improvement was needed with instructor- you are very friendly. We were very satisfied and the most important thing we learned was Management!
Trainer note: Importance of Socialization was discussed with owners and this puppy was out touring the world on a regular basis.
Last month I had the pleasure of working with Butter, a lovely but fearful yellow Labrador Retriever that landed herself a wonderful home with caring owners. About training goals: " Simple training techniques helped Butter to trust me and Pat more, and also taught her the basics of how to behave. Liked Best? " The techniques were easy to use and apply, and Leslie was able to adjust the program accordinly to try to work on some of Butter`s fears. The instructor was rated as, "very good, needed no improvement." The most important thing YOU learned: " The basics of how to start training a dog, and being a strong leader to your pet. Even the stubborn one (Huskie not worked with) is starting to listen.
Trainer note: most often stubborn can equate to needs training!
Recently received, a Survey from another satisfied client, Debra Schwer, owner of 10 mo Boxer Angie. Debra felt her training goals were met, "especially siince Angie had not had any training for the first 10 months I had her! " Debra also stated that she loved the Good Manners Program "because Leslie could actually see what Angie and I were doing and help ME to learn most!" She saw no improvement necessary in client interactions, likewise with the program itself and "loved the help Leslie gave us." The most important thing learned:
:How to better communicate with my dog!"
CLIENT TESTIMONIAL 1/31
Recently, a lovely Short-hair Pointer puppy named Max graduated from Look What I Can Do! Good Manners Level 1. His owner returned a Client Survey, with the following comments. He best liked about the programs that " you were very interested in us being successful." Client interactions: "interaction was great; I felt comfortable asking you questions and to repeat something I did not understand." The most important thing you learned: " be consistent and persistent."
ANOTHER CLIENT SURVEY
This survey comes from Lori Payne of Charlestown MD, proud owner of Hannah, long-haired Daschund. Hannah was adorable and I looked forward to working with her every week, as I do all my other furry friends of course. That is why I love my job! The clients are pretty good too! Lori stated that "my training goals were definitely met and exceeded. Hannah has shown a great improvement." Like best about Good Manners Program: "I like how Hannah was taught at her own pace. Leslie had so much patience with her and always had great ideas on something new to do with her, or a new way of teaching her things." LIKED LEAST? " I enjoyed the entire program." Regarding client interactions, Lori said,"I believe there is nothing that could be improved, Leslie was wonderful with Hannah and myself." RECOMMEND? " I would recommend this training to anyone." THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU LEARNED? " I learned how to handle Hannah`s fears outside and how to show her to learn new things. I learned how to generally to get Hannah to pay attention to me and that is what I needed." I really appreciate clients returning the surveys; it is especially helpful to see areas in which I can improve.
